April 2019 News

So hey, all. It’s been a while… I’ve been pretty terrible at not updating you guys on what’s happening in my life, so here goes:

Writing.

Biggest news is I’ve just finished my manuscript, Call Me Ruin. It’s my longest manuscript yet, around 99,000 words, and I wrote it in JUST over a year, putting it at the first time I’ve written a novel that quickly. It’s a paranormal romance/horror/fantasy novel, it follows the POV of the main lady AND the scoundrel trying to destroy her life. I’ll tell you more as I can. I’m going through the editing process now, and then I’m going to shop it to publishers.

There is a chance I might be sending something into the next Word Count Podcast, by altering a little scene or two of the book, just to share it with you guys. There may even be reading done by guest artist Gene Stern, who can play the love interest of my book better than anyone I know.

I may be making an appearance at this years’ Book Con/Book Fair up at the Javits Center at the end of May, so hope to see some of you there.

Music.

I might be going on tour in Ireland in July. This happened because of my lovely friends The River Drivers, who I played with in March, and it’s not set in stone, but it’s a strong possibility, (if I can get all my ducks in a row.)

I am in a collab with another artist friend of mine for a sweet indie concept album/project, and as I can say more, I will. I might even be performing like, for real, in person. (whuuuuut) There is another artist with whom I might also be working with soon, again, more on that as soon as I can talk about it!

In the last year, I made it onto the new album March Through Storms with my friends Rose and Brian of House of Hamill. Go listen to the whole album, (and definitely listen to Cedars House.) They rock, as always, and I was so lucky to get to be a part of that project.

Other News.

I recently got selected to do a boudoir photo shoot, and it’s perfect timing because I strongly believe in body positivity, and cannot wait to start seeing what it’s like to be a model (since I’ve been dreaming about being a plus sized model for a little while now). SO I am super pumped.

I went through a really, really tough period of health issues and a car accident and just general craziness in the last six months, and I am looking forward to May. There are a lot of signs from the Universe right now that I am making the right choices, and I cannot wait to see where it takes me. I don’t celebrate Easter or Passover, but if you do I hope they are awesome. As to the rest of us, Blessed Be and hope to see you soon!

xoxo, me
